Sheet Metal Laser Cutting & Punching
Laser Cutting & Punching Services
When you seek sheet metal cutting services, you’re paying for attention detail and flawless execution of your design.
With both our sheet metal laser cutting, sheet metal weld cutting, and sheet metal punching capabilities, we’re able to achieve that precision. We make sure a part is cut perfectly — every single time.
Maximum sheet size: 72” x 144”
Maximum sheet thickness: With our laser cutters, we generally will cut aluminum up to 3/8″, mild steel up to 1″, and stainless steel up to 1/2″. With our shears, we will cut up to ¼”.
Our technology includes:
- 2000-watt CO2 lasers
- (1) CNC turret punch press
- (2) 10′ shear
- (5) CNC hydraulic press brakes
- (2) Conventional hydraulic press brakes
- Mechanical press brakes

Our engineers are happy to talk you through the ideal cutting or punching design and method for your specific job. We use value engineering (and cell manufacturing) to make the whole process smoother — from concept design to storage — so take advantage of our free, no-pressure value engineering consultations.
Here’s a little more background on these important processes:
Sheet Metal Laser Cutting
Sheet metal laser cutting offers unparalleled precision thanks to the use of robotics.
Our laser machines use CNC to cut a focused pattern into your material. The affected material either melts, burns, vaporizes, or is blown away by a jet of gas.
The final result? A high-quality surface finish. Even better: Unlike machine tooling, a laser beam doesn’t wear out.
Sheet Metal Punching
This process uses a press to force a tool, called a punch, through your sheet to make a hole.
This quick process allows you to multiple shaped holes. It’s usually the most inexpensive method for creating holes for mid-to-high-volume projects.
Other Sheet Metal Fabrication Services
Because Blackstone is an all-in-one metal fabricator, our cutting and punching services can be combined several other services to consolidate costs and lead times. We also offer:
