Welding Fabricator
SUMMARY
Fabricates and assembles metal products, and supports others doing the same, by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG &/or Spot) to weld components together.
- Sets up welding equipment
- Blueprint reading.
- Lifts, positions, and removes pieces for welding.
- Marks reference points to assist in layout.
- Loads, stacks, and transports stock and work in process by hand or truck.
- Attaches grappling equipment to pieces to prepare piece for moving by crane or jib.
- Grind, clean, polish parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools
- Performs visual inspection of all components handled and some dimensional inspections using simple measurement devices
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties.
- All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months experience in MIG and/or TIG welding steel, stainless and/or aluminum and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Programmer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans numerical control programs to control contour path machining of metal parts on automatic machine tools
Implementing Radan Software training documents
Uses CAD and CAM in conjunction with each other to develop Numeric Control Programs
Creates electronic solid models of piece parts and assemblies
Uses solid modeling software to unfold piece part models into flat patterns
Prepares drawing files to facilitate programming of Trumpf press brakes & lasers
Uses basic drafting and design to make drawing revisions and clarifications with AutoCAD software
Maintains control of outside Numerical Control processes, providing an interface to vendor
Does experimental work as required concerning new Tooling, N/C gauging and methods
Provides technical support to factory personnel
Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates
Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths
Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and prepares flat layout using computer-assisted drafting software to show location of reference points and direction of cutting paths.
Perform drafting, design, drawing revisions using AutoCAD software.
Enter and maintain MRP engineering databases (EPICOR).
Write programs of machine instructions in symbolic language to encode numerical control tape or direct numerical control data base to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.
Revises programs when necessary, to eliminate NC Program errors and/or omissions
Observes operation of machine on trial run to prove taped or programmed instructions
Performs electronic First Article Inspections of solid models
Write instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine
Order tooling, parts and miscellaneous items for NC Machine tools, as required
Provide technical support to factory floor as required. Interfaces between factory personnel and engineering personnel
Perform experiments and research to develop new tooling and/or processing techniques.

Production Associate – Painter
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review work orders and paint specs to ensure awareness of job requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Apply protective coatings to large industrial structures
- Use proper protective equipment, and maintain required hygiene for respirator
- Obtain and mix paint ingredients in accordance with the manufacturer’s specs to ensure paint is the proper consistency
- Spray units by hand to ensure proper paint application, as needed
- Continuously inspect painted parts or units to ensure proper coating application, and make spray gun adjustments as needed
- Clean, mask, and sand units in preparation for painting
- Unmask units, clean and load spare parts on units after drying process is completed
- Maintain clean and organized equipment and paint booth (i.e. sprayer equipment, and application tools – brushes)
- Assess issues with surface preparation
- Assist in identifying welds and excessive splatter to be repaired
- All other duties as assigned.
